  • Minority rights Protections for smaller groups in society so they are treated fairly, even if the majority disagrees with them.
  • Equality before the law The idea that everyone must follow the same laws and has the same legal rights, no matter who they are.
  • Human rights Basic rights and freedoms that every person has, such as the right to life, equality, and free speech.
  • Participation Taking part in decision-making or activities that affect society, such as voting, protesting, or joining a group.
